Applications Engineer

San Diego, California | June 2023 – Present

  • Serve as primary technical liaison for integration of SoCs into customers' Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to achieve optimized performance for PPA (Power, Performance, Area)
  • Resolved stalled negotiations by leveraging technical data from bench performance and silicon validation to develop an engineering solution to meet product specs, which helped secure an additional $10M+ in semiconductor IP design wins
  • Led the resolution of customer technical issues by facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams (design, sales operations, and quality), utilizing Cadence for transistor-level debug and simulation, Python scripting for test development, and JMP for data visualization cutting average root cause analysis from 8+ months to under 5 weeks
  • Created a company-wide CRM platform connecting Zendesk and JIRA, and automated workflows to track SLA metrics resulting in 70% YoY open ticket volume decrease and 30% reduction in total resolution time
  • Performed bench testing and validation of circuits using electrical test equipment and lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers fully automating 50+ specs saving 100 hours of work hours
  • Redesigned the customer return process (RMA) for electrical failures, streamlining the process from initial test screen to advanced imaging (photo-emission, IR imaging, FIB) which addressed 50% of previously unsolvable root causes

Data Warehouse Consultant

Toronto, Ontario | September 2022 – April 2023

  • Productionized ML models using AWS S3, EC2 and batch jobs to transform financial advisor performance tracking from a quarterly process to daily insights, enabling faster and more informed decision-making
  • Researched 20+ academic papers to create a ML model to predict customer churn and model marketing uplift
  • Conducted EDA on Datawarehouse using Snowflake Snowpark and SQL to build client retention strategy

Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Toronto, Ontario | May 2021 – October 2022

  • Design SERDES integrated circuit using Verilog – completing 100% of RTL hardware meeting tape out deadline
  • Lead digital PMA integration and verification efforts reaching 99% code coverage within cost and schedule constraints
  • Manage integration of IP across digital, analog and verification teams within $16M annual revenue business unit
  • Develop detailed chip level design and layout workflow prioritizing power and latency optimization with 64Gbps transmission and receiving capability
  • Introduced hardware optimization feature lowering bit error rate from 10^-6 to 10^-15 bit using FEC encoding

Software Developer

Toronto, Ontario | May – August 2020

  • Added UX/UI features using C# and .NET framework for major product updates to over 450 Universities in 120 countries
  • Built CAD Annotation toolset for 3D Analysis programs (EX3, RS3, Slide3) with an emphasis on usability and efficiency
  • Refactored a library of 200 files using Visual Studio and git to reduce MVVM runtime performance to less than 100ms
  • Implemented a dynamic visualization tool to represent aggregated simulation data

Electromechanical Technician

North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany | May – August 2019

  • Implemented CAM programming tools to increase the efficiency of producing machined metal parts by 25%
  • Assembled over 30 pneumatic systems for large industrial machinery according to professional DIN standards
  • Expanded 20000 ft2 'Ausbildung' warehouse storage capabilities by prototyping a stainless-steel storage unit using CNC machining, high precision welding and sheet metal bending techniques

Geotechnical Projects Intern

Niagara Falls, Ontario | Aug – Sep 2017

  • Developed intranet website using Microsoft Sharepoint to streamline internal project management and portfolios
  • Digitized blueprints of large-scale concrete and spillway systems with AutoCAD creating 30 structural templates for future geotechnical projects
  • Used HTML and CSS to collaborate globally on revitalizing marketing and promotion materials producing 60+ updated project descriptions in-line with, client engagement, marketability

Mechatronic device to improve the maneuvrability for debilitated persons

Final Prototype - Device was created with 3D printed joints designed to fit aluminum piping together. A electronics system drove the base of the mechanism. A chain driven pulley system was used for linear actuated movement.
